Public health warning: contaminated cocaine and MDMA
Contaminated illicit drugs that pose a serious health risk have been discovered in NSW and could also be circulating the ACT. NSW Health has issued warnings about cocaine contaminated with opioids that have resulted in cases of serious harm and death.
They have also warned of MDMA contamination with a hallucinogenic substance known as “NBOMe” after several people were taken to hospital.
ACT Health reminds Canberrans to call 000 for health emergencies. As a precautionary measure people who use cocaine or MDMA are encouraged to contact Canberra Alliance for Harm Minimisation and Advocacy (CAHMA) for advice Ph 6253 3643.
