The Know Community Terms of Use

 

The Know Community is an initiative of the Prompt Response Network (PRN) hosted on a platform managed by the University of New South Wales (UNSW). The PRN is a project led by the National Centre for Clinical Research on Emerging Drugs (NCCRED), a consortium that includes NDARC (UNSW), NCETA (Flinders University), NDRI (Curtin University) and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

The Know Community is a professional network for people working in areas where they interact with emerging drugs that may be of concern.

By signing up to The Know Community as a member, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Registration

People wishing to become a member of The Know Community are required to fill in the registration form on the platform. You will need to provide  your name, organisation name, email, and job role, which will be visible to other members of The Know Community.

New registrations will be reviewed and approved.

New members will be required to sign up, activate their account and set their own password to access the platform, ensuring that your password remains private at all times.

Membership

The Know Community allows members of the PRN to communicate and engage with each other in secure private groups, to support public health responses to emerging drugs  at the national and local level.

Membership of The Know Community includes representatives from a wide variety of community, jurisdictional and federal partners with intersecting experiences related to drug use, health and legal consequences of use, treatment, toxicology, research, and law enforcement.

Membership of The Know Community is voluntary, as such, you can withdraw at any time.

At any time, you can request to have your User Account deleted by contacting [email protected].

Termination of a membership may occur at the discretion of the PRN administrator based on a breach of The Know Community terms of use (Terms of Use). A member leaving their role at an organisation/agency should identify a replacement representative to join The Know Community.

As a professional network members are expected to behave professionally and use respectful language. Members who have been reported to have engaged in activity which is not deemed professional or respectful will have their membership reviewed and comments may be removed.

The platform is moderated during business hours (AEST) only.

Change of Terms of Use

These Terms of Use may be subject to change from time to time. Any changes will be posted to this page. Your use of The Know Community platform or any content after the date of the new version of the Terms of Use applies, will constitute your agreement to the modified Terms of Use. If you disagree with such modification of the Terms of Use, you have the choice to end your membership and delete your Account, in the manner indicated above.

Intellectual Property

The intellectual property, including copyright and trademarks, in all material available on The Know Community website is owned by and remains with the author and/or owner of such content.

You must not use or redistribute material from The Know Community website without the express consent of the author/owner. Please contact the author/owner directly for permission to use their material if specified or email [email protected] with your inquiry.

Privacy

You cannot use or distribute material from The Know Community without the written and express consent of the original poster. The intellectual property of all material provided on this website remains with the author. Information provided to the PRN and published on The Know Community platform must be anonymised so that individual patients or service users cannot be identified.

Legal Disclaimer

The comments published on The Know Community represent a wide range of views and interests of the participating individuals and organisations. Statements made during online discussions are the personal opinions of the commentators and do not necessarily reflect those of NCCRED, the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care as the funders of the PRN, or other Australian Government and Non-Governmental Agencies participating in the PRN.

 The PRN at all times and at its absolute discretion, reserves the right to remove inappropriate or offensive posts and any posts which breach the privacy terms above.
